General Program Questions

Who can use this site?

TNC Marketplace is an internal employee-facing resource available to those with
an “@tnc.org” email account or may otherwise log-in to TNC systems via TNC ID
Single Sign-On (SSO).

What’s the purpose of TNC Marketplace?

Our goal is to offer an efficient resource for responsibly sourced and consistently branded apparel and promotional products to support your work, focused on sustainability, quality, diversity of suppliers and affordability. There’s a lot of waste in the world, especially in low-cost branded products. Buy Less, Buy Better!

Personal Purchasing Guidelines

Personal purchases by staff for themselves, family and friends are allowed. Items may not be resold.

Who runs the site, sources products and manages the warehouse?

Clove & Twine in Denver, CO USA.
Climate Neutral certified – via carbon offsets and efforts in reducing their footprint.

Product Status – What do they mean?

Pre-Order - items are actively in production, but not yet at warehouse for fulfillment. They are available for purchase and will ship once received at the warehouse.

Back Order - item is on order from the supplier and may be available for pre-order.

Coming Soon – item will be added to inventory, but no current production run is in progress and availability date is not confirmed with supplier.

Last Chance – item will not be restocked, either due to low-demand or availability from supplier. Once inventory is exhausted, the listing will be removed.

Out of Stock - zero inventory of item and no further status available. Reorder may be in progress or item may be discontinued. Contact Customer Service or TNC Program Admin for further status, if available.

Sustainability

Clove & Twine are fully committed to offsetting all of our carbon emissions
through Climate Neutral. We believe Climate Neutral’s methodology and
structure are the most reliable and transparent.
Additionally, Clove & Twine’s partnership with One Tree Planted supports tree-
planting initiatives: for every order shipment, one tree is planted.

Year-end order deadlines

Our vendor, Clove & Twine, closes for 2 weeks at the end of the year to give their staff a well-deserved break to recharge.

Last Day for Orders: Friday, December 13

Customer Service Closed: December 20 – January 5

Orders submitted after December 13 will not be processed until Monday, January 6.

Why do I only see 1 shipping option?

Default shipping method is Ground/Economy to minimize our carbon footprint and the increased impact associated with expedited shipping by air.

Clove & Twine is certified carbon-neutral through their direct actions and carbon offsets. Our fulfillment center offsets our carbon impact by utilizing a climate-neutral UPS account, and we offset all other shipments directly through the Change Climate Project.

Do you ship outside of US and US Territories?

Yes! These orders require a little more work to minimize shipping charges and avoid delays for delivery.

Please submit your order and Customer Service will contact you with a separate shipping invoice for approval to proceed. The initial order's payment has been authorized, but your card will not be charged until the order ships. The shipping invoice will need to be paid before the order ships. TNC Staff will be asked to provide any further information such as Tax ID or other documentation as requirements vary around the world.

Steps for Success on Global Shipments

Plan ahead, order in bulk, consolidate your orders and connect with colleagues to make the best use of shipping costs and carbon footprint. Customer Service can assist with planning for larger orders and providing shipping quotes.

Packaging

Depending on the specific products and volume of your order, it will ship in an unbranded padded envelope, carton, or box.

Packaging is primarily sourced from a local supplier, and most packaging materials are recyclable or reusable. We strive to eliminate or reduce plastic wrap or bags from the process, but some items require individual packaging to protect them in transit from the manufacturer or to make them easier to pull for order fulfillment. Reuse or recycle materials as appropriate in your locality.

Returns / Exchanges

Domestic Orders - Click the account icon in the top right corner of this screen to log on to your account and locate your order. Select the item(s) that you would like to return and hit the request return button to initiate a return. Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the purchaser.
In those rare cases where incorrect product was delivered, Customer Service will work with the purchaser to remedy the matter.

International Orders - Returns will not be accepted in the interest of reducing carbon footprint on shipping products back and forth. Customer Service will work with the purchaser to remedy the matter.

Failed Deliveries / Return to Sender

If your order is returned to sender for any reason, which may include customer-
provided invalid or incorrect address, expired pickup at destination or other, you
will be contacted by Customer Service.
If you'd like to re-ship the order, you are responsible for a $15 return fee and the
re-shipping costs.

$13.50 USD up to 9 lbs

$26.00 USD up to 15 lbs

$33.00 USD up to 20 lbs

$36.00 USD up to 25 lbs

$41.00 USD up to 30 lbs

$43.00 USD up to 35 lbs

$47.00 USD up to 40 lbs

$53.00 USD up to 45 lbs

These values will auto-populate based on total product and packaging weight.

International/Global

Following order submission Customer Service will contact you with a separate shipping quote and invoice for approval to proceed. Ordering

Custom Orders / Large Volume Orders

Custom Orders available through our vendor Clove & Twine. Contact them through the webform or via email TNC@cloveandtwine.com to explore options.

Strongly consider customizing items with TNC branding in a manner that will not make them outdated or incorrect in a short time.

Volume Orders - Do you need A LOT of one item or multiple items? There may be sufficient inventory on hand already, but you can confirm with Customer Service and see if a separate order is appropriate to support your need.
